Windows · x64

Install on
Windows.

For Windows 10 version 1809 or newer and Windows 11.

  1. 01

    Download

Download the ZIP from this page. Avoid mirrors or packages sent by unknown accounts.

  2. 02

    Extract the whole ZIP

Right-click the file, choose Extract All, and keep every DLL and data file beside BlackFlix.exe. No separate runtime or DLL download is needed.

  3. 03

    Open BlackFlix

Run BlackFlix.exe from the extracted folder and complete the debrid setup. This alpha is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may identify it as an unknown publisher.

Android · phone, tablet & TV

Install on
Android.

The signed alpha APK is available for direct installation on Android 7.0 or newer. Google Play testing can be added later for automatic updates.

  1. 01

    Download

Open this page on your Android device and download the APK.

  2. 02

    Allow this installation

When Android asks, allow Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager you used. This permission can be disabled again after installation.

  3. 03

Install on phone, tablet or TV

Open the downloaded APK and select Install. On Android TV or Google TV, transfer the same APK to the device and open it with a file manager.

Samsung Smart TV · Tizen

Samsung TV
developer install.

Download the ready-to-import BlackFlix project from this page. Tizen Studio then signs it with the tester’s device-bound Samsung certificate and installs the resulting .wgt directly on the connected TV.

  1. 01

    Enable Developer Mode

Connect the TV and computer to the same network. On the TV open Apps › App Settings, enter 12345, enable Developer mode, enter the computer’s IP address, and reboot the TV.

  2. 02

Install the SDK and connect the TV

Download Tizen Studio for your computer, install it, then add Samsung TV Extensions and Samsung Certificate Extension in Package Manager.

Open Tools › Device Manager › Remote Device Manager, add the TV’s IP address, and switch its connection on.

  3. 03

    Download and import BlackFlix

Download the project ZIP using the button beside these steps and extract it. In Tizen Studio choose File › Import › Tizen › Tizen Project and select the extracted folder containing config.xml.

  4. 04

    Create the device certificate

While the TV is connected, open Tools › Certificate Manager and create a Samsung certificate profile for TV. Sign in to Samsung when prompted and add the connected TV’s unique device ID to the distributor certificate. Keep the author certificate and its password safe for future updates.

  5. 05

    Sign, install and launch

Make the new certificate profile active, right-click the imported BlackFlix project, and choose Run As › Tizen Web Application. Tizen Studio builds the .wgt, signs it, installs it and launches BlackFlix on the connected TV. A newer build replaces the previous one; USB installation is not supported.

LG Smart TV · webOS

LG TV
developer install.

The webOS alpha is available as an .ipk developer package. It supports LG TVs that can run the official Developer Mode app.

  1. 01

    Enable Developer Mode

Install LG’s official Developer Mode app from LG Apps, sign in with an LG Developer account, enable Dev Mode Status, and let the TV reboot.

  2. 02

Install Node.js and the webOS tools

Download and install the LTS version of Node.js. npm is included automatically, so there is nothing else to install first.

When installation finishes, open PowerShell on Windows or Terminal on macOS, paste this line and press Enter:

    npm install -g @webos-tools/cli
  3. 03

    Register the TV once

In the TV’s Developer Mode app, turn on Key Server and note the TV’s IP address. On the computer run ares-setup-device, choose add, name the device myTV, then enter that IP address, port 9922 and user prisoner. Leave the password blank and save. Finally run:

    ares-novacom --device myTV --getkey
  4. 04

    Download and install the package

Download the IPK from this page, open a terminal in the download folder, and run:

    ares-install --device myTV BlackFlix-alpha-0.1-webos.ipk

Use the same command with a newer .ipk to update it.

macOS · Apple silicon & Intel

Install on
macOS.

The universal alpha supports macOS 14 or newer. It is ad-hoc signed for local testing but is not Apple-notarized, so macOS requires an explicit first-launch confirmation.

  1. 01

    Download

Download the ZIP from this page before opening it.

  2. 02

    Move it to Applications

Unzip the download and move BlackFlix.app into the Applications folder. Do not modify files inside the app bundle because that invalidates its ad-hoc signature.

  3. 03

    Approve the first launch

In Finder, Control-click BlackFlix.app, choose Open, then confirm Open again. If it is still blocked, open System Settings › Privacy & Security and select Open Anyway.

iPad · AltStore sideload

Install on
iPad.

The unsigned IPA supports iPadOS 17.5 or newer. AltStore Classic signs it locally with your own Apple Account; it cannot be installed directly from Safari or Files.

  1. 01

    Set up AltStore Classic

Download and install AltServer on a Mac or Windows PC.

Connect and trust the iPad, then use AltServer to install AltStore Classic with the Apple Account that will own the installation.

  2. 02

    Download the IPA

Download the IPA to the iPad’s Files app. The IPA is unsigned by design: AltStore signs it on your device.

  3. 03

    Install BlackFlix

Open AltStore, go to My Apps, tap +, choose the BlackFlix IPA from Files, and wait for installation. Trust the Apple Account certificate under Settings › General › VPN & Device Management if iPadOS asks.

  4. 04

    Refresh every seven days

Apps signed with a free Apple Account expire after seven days. Before expiry, use Refresh All while AltServer is available over Wi-Fi or USB. Free accounts are limited to three sideloaded apps per device.
